About this role:
The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic partner to the Chairman, providing high-level analytical and reporting support to inform executive decision-making. This role is responsible for preparing weekly shareholder reports, conducting business performance analysis, and identifying key trends across the organization. The Chief of Staff translates complex business data into clear, executive-level PowerPoint presentations and actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders.
This position does not have direct operational oversight but focuses on business analytics, trend evaluation, and performance reporting to support strategic planning and communication at the board and shareholder level
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Act as a trusted advisor to the Chairman
Lead on high-impact strategic initiatives
Present financial and strategic insights with clarity, precision and confidence
Translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
Market Trends & Competitive Intelligence
Build and maintain frameworks to monitor industry dynamics especially in relation commercial and financial trends
Analyse market trends, competitive positioning, and macroeconomic factors to inform strategic decisions.
Advise the Chairman on strategic implications of market changes and help inform investment, pricing, expansion and other business related decisions
Stakeholder Engagement
Develop highly detailed, logically structured, and visually compelling presentations for Board and investor audiences
Prepare briefing notes and analytical summaries for board and external stakeholder meetings
Project & Program Management
Support capital allocation decisions, investment appraisals, and growth strategy initiatives
Oversee priority projects, ensuring delivery is on time and within budget.
Support budget planning processes
Set frameworks for performance tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement
Other duties and responsibilities as required by line manager.
Upholding and promoting the Club’s policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Equal Opportunities policies and procedures.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (essential)
Post graduate degree preferred (MBA, Msc or equivalent)
Background in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, or a similarly rigorous analytical environment preferred.
Strong understanding of market dynamics and financial reporting
Exceptional business acumen, financial knowledge and analytical capabilities as well as a high level of quantitative ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to influence stakeholders across all levels and ability to simplify complex financial concepts
Strong organisational, time-management and prioritisation abilities
Highly analytical, logical thinker with structured problem – solving skills
Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy and
Commercially minded with strategic depth
Highly proficient with data analysis tools, market research and investment platforms
Outstanding presentation building capability with the ability to create well structured and easily digestible executive-level slides.
Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and valuation methodologies
Intellectually curious who can remain calm under pressure and thrives in high – performance environments.
Discreet, trustworthy and capable of operating at board level
High intellectual horsepower; able to process and synthesize large volumes of information rapidly
Proactive, self-directed, and execution- focused
