KS1 Teacher - Battersea
A popular primary school in Battersea is recruiting a skilled KS1 Teacher to start January 2026. The KS1 Teacher will teach across Year 1 and Year 2 where needed, planning coherent, structured lessons that promote strong phonics, early reading and number sense. This KS1 Teacher will be involved in assessment cycles, intervention delivery and parent communications. Induction and planning time will be provided before January 2026 to ensure the KS1 Teacher is well prepared for the spring term. Battersea families appreciate an approachable classroom environment; the KS1 Teacher will help build curiosity and resilience in learners.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach high-quality lessons across Key Stage 1, ensuring clear progression.
- Deliver targeted interventions and monitor the impact on pupil progress.
- Work alongside colleagues to moderate standards and share effective practice.
- Maintain clear communication with parents and support whole-school events and enrichment.
- Contribute to the development of phonics and early maths across the phase.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with recent KS1 experience and strong subject knowledge.
- Skilled in phonics delivery, formative assessment and small-group teaching.
- A calm, organised practitioner with excellent interpersonal skills and a team focus.
- Ready to start January 2026 and to be based in Battersea.
