Architect
Our client, a respected Chartered Architectural Practice, is seeking a talented Architect to become an integral part of their creative and dedicated studio. Based in London, the practice is known for delivering innovative and sustainable, design-focused projects nationwide.
The successful candidate will gain full exposure to all RIBA stages, contributing to Industrial and Commercial new build developments, with additional involvement in residential schemes and university laboratories. This role offers hands-on responsibility from concept to completion, working collaboratively with clients, contractors, consultants, and colleagues.
Architect Job Overview
- Work across all RIBA stages, from concept and planning through to technical delivery and construction.
- Lead and contribute to industrial and commercial new build projects, with additional exposure to residential schemes and laboratory facilities for universities.
- Develop design concepts, detailed drawings, and specifications using Revit
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, and contractors, maintaining excellent communication and professional relationships.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a small, collaborative team, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Participate in site inspections, contract administration, and problem-solving during construction phases.
- Uphold sustainability principles and compliance with UK building regulations and planning procedures.
- Contribute ideas and creativity to design discussions, supporting the practice's reputation for thoughtful, innovative architecture
Architect Job Requirements
- ARB-registered Architect with strong experience across all RIBA stages.
- Proven experience in industrial and commercial new build projects; experience in laboratories and residential work is highly desirable.
- Revit proficient; experience with MicroStation and the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Excellent technical design skills; ability to prepare and oversee detailed design, construction documentation, specifications and detailing.
- Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning procedures, construction methods, sustainability principles.
- Able to liaise confidently with contractors, consultants and clients; good communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills; comfortable working in a smaller team, juggling multiple projects.
- A proactive mindset, with creative problem-solving, attention to detail and a collaborative approach.
Architect Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £42,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience and fit.
