Operations Analyst

THE ROLE
As an Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering insightful, data-driven analysis that supports operational excellence and a strong customer focus. You will be responsible for producing, analysing, and distributing key performance indicators (KPIs) that help drive best practices across operations.
A core part of your responsibilities will include gathering and preparing data for client and trustee reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. In addition, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the development of business cases, provide analytical input for strategic initiatives, and evaluate the success of changes through robust benefit realisation.
The ideal candidate will be confident in working with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations that inform business decisions.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the production, analysis and distribution of operational key performance reports. This includes regulatory, trustee and client governance reporting obligations.
Confidently present findings and make recommendations, bringing your audience on a journey of discovery and bringing the data to life.
Design, implement and deliver a suite of management information that evolves with the business to inform and influence the development of:
Operational performance and delivery against a set of standards
Resource planning
Knowing our customer
Product development
Ensure the data governance framework remains robust so data sources are up to date, data provided is accurate and meets ongoing business needs.
Meet regulatory and trustee reporting obligations and business deadlines.
Interpret data sourced across Operations to inform the leadership team in the context of its objectives and to drive customer focus.
Attend and present at internal forums, Trustee site visits or in client workshops where data expertise is needed.
Support local implementation of operational change driven by monitoring of processes to identify opportunities for improvement (cost reduction, increased efficiency, improved customer service). Assist with business case assessment to inform next steps and prioritisation.
Collaborate with other SPMT functions to complete comprehensive benefit realisation following implementation of change or communication campaigns.
Act as technical specialist, receive, investigate and respond to technical queries from customers, intermediaries and or colleagues across the business relating to operational data insights.
Gather comprehensive information to support decision making and recommendation.
Resolve issues using commercial and business awareness.
Build key stakeholder relationships and engagement with broader business in relation to data projects and product development.
Maintain accurate and appropriate records; producing timely management information.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The skills, experience, and aptitudes we are looking for are listed below but please don’t be discouraged from applying if you don’t meet every single one of these criteria – having a ‘can do’ attitude is sometimes more important than being able to tick every box:
Experience in an operational and financial services environment, ideally DC pension experience.
Technical capability in business process modelling, database design & structures, information management, data administration preferred.
Experience of identifying business intelligence data, interpreting trends and rationale to make recommendations.
Experience of SQL programming language and use of Snowflake.
Professional and accountability, projects credibility.
