Year 3 Teacher | Lambeth
A popular primary school in Lambeth is seeking an energetic Year 3 Teacher to join the Key Stage 2 phase from January 2026. The successful Year 3 Teacher will plan and deliver carefully sequenced lessons that develop pupils’ reading, writing and number fluency. This Year 3 Teacher post in Lambeth offers the opportunity to work in a school that values strong pedagogy, creativity and a reflective approach to assessment. The Year 3 Teacher will be supported through a structured induction before January 2026 and will take part in preparation and handover activity in the weeks leading to January 2026.

The appointed Year 3 Teacher will collaborate with phase colleagues to refine medium-term plans, run targeted small-group support and contribute to wider enrichment activities. The Lambeth school places emphasis on high expectations, pupil wellbeing and close partnership with families — the Year 3 Teacher will help sustain these priorities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and teach sequenced Year 3 lessons that build knowledge and skills progressively.
- Use assessment to identify gaps and deliver timely small-group support that accelerates learning.
- Work with teaching assistants to scaffold learning and adapt resources for varied needs.
- Maintain clear, constructive communication with parents and contribute to termly reporting.
- Engage with whole-school initiatives and enrichment activities to enhance the curriculum.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with strong recent experience in Key Stage 2 and Year 3 practice.
- Secure subject knowledge across English and mathematics with an evidence-led approach to planning.
- Calm, organised classroom presence with effective behaviour-management strategies.
- Committed to collaborative working within the Lambeth community and to ongoing professional development.
- Able to start January 2026 and to be based in Lambeth.
