A supportive and inclusive school in Brent is seeking a passionate and experienced Qualified SEND Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is committed to supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and helping them reach their full academic and personal potential. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high quality lessons, adapting the curriculum and working closely with support staff to ensure students with additional needs are fully engaged in their learning. This role would suit a teacher with strong classroom management skills, patience and the ability to create an inclusive environment where students feel confident and supported. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that are adapted to meet the needs of students with SEND.
  • Support students with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Differentiate lesson content to ensure all students can access the curriculum.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN support staff to implement effective support strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching approaches where necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
  • Maintain a structured, supportive and positive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers and external professionals where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour support strategies.
  • A patient, supportive and proactive approach to teaching.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
  • A commitment to helping students develop confidence, independence and academic progress.
