Teacher of Maths - Barnet Outstanding School (ECT Support)
An Outstanding secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint a bright and ambitious Maths ECT for an immediate start. The school is known for its high standards and friendly atmosphere, making it a brilliant place for a new teacher to find their feet and grow.
The Role This is a permanent, full-time position for an Early Career Teacher who loves their subject. The successful candidate will teach across KS3 and KS4, joining a department that values collaboration over competition. The school is keen on a mastery approach, focusing on deep understanding rather than just "teaching to the test."

The ECT induction program is highly regarded, providing a dedicated mentor, a reduced timetable, and plenty of "real-world" coaching to help build classroom confidence quickly.
Responsibilities
Delivering engaging Maths lessons that make complex topics accessible for all students.
Working with the department to develop new, creative learning resources.
Contributing to the school’s extracurricular life, perhaps through a Maths challenge or chess club.
Providing meaningful feedback that helps students take ownership of their progress.
Requirements
QTS (or pending) and a strong degree in a Maths-based subject.
The school is unable to offer visa sponsorship; candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
A valid enhanced DBS on the update service.
Salary M1 – UPS3 (£37,870 – £56,154) per annum.
