Nursery Assistant - Full Time
Start Date: February (Possibly sooner)
Location: Croydon
Setting: Nursery (Baby Room, Toddlers & Preschool)
Contract: Long-term with view to permanent
Working Hours: Various shifts between 8:00am and 6:00pm

A well-established nursery in Croydon is seeking a full-time Nursery Assistant to join their team from February. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent, supporting children across the baby room, toddlers, and preschool.

The nursery is looking for a reliable and nurturing practitioner who can contribute to a safe, stimulating, and caring environment and support children at each stage of their early development.

Key Responsibilities:

Support children's learning and development across baby, toddler, and preschool rooms

Assist with daily routines, including personal care and mealtimes

Help create a safe, engaging, and well-organised learning environment

Support age-appropriate, play-based activities

Work collaboratively with room leaders and the wider nursery team

Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting

Confidence supporting children across different age groups

A caring, patient, and proactive approach

Ability to commit to a long-term role with the intention of becoming permanent

Good understanding of safeguarding within early years settings
