Family Associate/Senior Associate

A well-established and growing London law firm is seeking an experienced Family Associate or Senior Associate to join its highly regarded family law team based in North London.
The successful candidate will become part of a close-knit and ambitious team, handling a varied caseload of private family matters while contributing to the continued growth and success of the department.
The role will involve advising clients across the full spectrum of private family law matters, including:
- Divorce and financial remedy proceedings.
- Private children matters and child arrangements disputes.
- Applications under the Family Law Act.
- Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
- Cohabitation agreements and cohabitation disputes.
- Relationship breakdown and associated family law issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters with minimal supervision.
- Delivering outstanding levels of client care and service.
- Developing new business opportunities and maintaining referral relationships.
- Attending networking and business development events.
- Contributing articles, legal updates, and thought leadership content.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, trainees, and support staff where appropriate.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations, professional conduct requirements, and internal risk management procedures.
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 5 years' PQE in family law.
- Strong technical expertise across a broad range of private family matters.
- Excellent client management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience working with vulnerable clients and handling sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism.
- A collaborative approach and desire to contribute to team success.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in business development.
