We are looking for an experienced Professional to join Edgewell Personal Care – a global consumer goods business with a portfolio of over 25 brands (Wilkinson Sword, Schick, Hawaiian Tropic, Carefree, Bulldog Skincare for Men, Jack Black and recently acquired Cremo Grooming… just to name a few!).

Pro-actively support the Account Lead in delivering budgeted volume, net sales and gross margin targets within the designated account portfolio.

Pro-actively seek out and exploit all sales opportunities consistently to achieve short- & long-term company objectives.

 

Here’s a sample of what you’ll get up to:

  • Network with appropriate internal & external contacts to ensure efficient day to day running of the business, developing positive working relationships to maximise leverage for all our brands.
  • Manage promotional activity under Account Lead supervision by owning the planning, delivery and post evaluation of promotions and recommending any improvements to deliver better return on future promotional investment.
  • Attend external account meetings as and when required to build working relationships within Retailers and increase our knowledge base and understanding of their businesses.
  • Develop expertise in Account Reporting Systems e.g. Tesco Link; by running weekly or ad hoc reports to help support decision making and develop recommendations in conjunction with the Account Lead to optimise business performance e.g. Reduce stock holding, highlight non-compliance, top/bottom performing stores etc.
  • Identify & Win New Business that is aligned to our Commercial & Customer Strategy.
  • Promote a culture of excellence through continuous improvement in all aspects of the job and all functions thus exceeding expectations of external and internal customers.
  • Undertake field visits as required to investigate specific store issues and monitor in-store activity.
  • Provide Accurate Forecasts to the business and ensure effective communication with Demand Planning and Brand team to deliver agreed SOP, service level & working capital targets

 

  • Support the Account Lead to develop KPI’s and metrics for key accounts to produce volume, value, profit, share, distribution, ranging, pricing, space and display.
  • Support the Account Lead with all administration relevant to the designated accounts. For example, responsibility for New Line Set Up, Pricing Amendments, Promotional Briefing, liaising with Field Merchandising Team to deliver agreed activity in accordance with account deadlines.
  • Pro-actively develop your skills, knowledge and attitude to continually maximise your potential and contribution.

Here’s what we are looking for:

  • Graduate or equivalent in a business-related subject (desirable)
  • English and Maths (GCSE C level or above) or equivalent
  • Commercial experience (Sales, Buying, Marketing, Category Development) within an FMCG environment.
  • Demonstrate achievements and experience in a Sales Executive in a similar environment.
  • Demonstrate experience of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and achieving deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of UK Trade Environment (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of retailer systems e.g. Tesco Retail Link (preferred).
  • Computer literate (essential) in Microsoft Office (including, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Previous commercial experience (Sales or Marketing)
  • Previous customer management e.g. customer service experience

Working Relationships

  • Reports to Account Lead
  • Key relationships internally will include Marketing (including brand and category management), Customer services, demand planning, sales team, finance
  • External engagement will include customers & agency contacts

Job Tools

  • Computer /lap top & associated software (Microsoft office, SAP, Fox, customer specific applications)
  • Other equipment related to point of sale & brand merchandise, trade show items

Work Environment

  • Some Travel Requirements on ad hoc basis mainly within the UK
  • Some hours outside and beyond typical business hours including evenings and weekends
