Senior Veterinary Surgeon

London
Experienced Small Animal Vet, Part-Time, Up to £80,000 FTE We're working with a well-established, independently run small animal group in London that's looking to welcome an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to their growing team. This is a part-time opportunity (3 days / 24 hours per week), ideal for a confident vet who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working within a supportive, well-resourced environment. The Role
  • First opinion small animal role across two nearby clinics
  • Mix of consults and surgery with a healthy 50/50 split
  • 15 - 20 minute consults allowing time to work cases properly
  • Some sole charge work at the smaller site (confidence essential)
  • 1:3 Saturday rota, no routine out-of-hours
  • Opportunity to get involved in orthopaedics, with access to a visiting cardiologist
  • Flexible approach to clinical interests and case load
Who They're Looking For
  • Small Animal Vet with 3+ years' UK experience
  • Confident working independently when required
  • Comfortable covering more than one site
  • No certificates required, but certificate support available
  • A team-focused vet who values quality care and good work-life balance
  • (New graduates won't be considered for this role due to the level of autonomy required.)
The Practices
  • Two-site independent group with a close-knit team culture
  • One larger, busy clinic with extended opening hours (8am8pm)
  • One smaller clinic operating 9am6pm, typically sole charge
  • Team of 9 vets and 4 nurses, with strong internal support
  • First opinion focus with good facilities and visiting specialists
  • Well connected by public transport (no onsite parking)
The Package
  • Salary up to £80,000 FTE (pro rata for part-time)
  • Generous CPD allowance with certificate support
  • Holiday allowance and pension
  • Additional benefits to be discussed at interview
Why Consider This Role? This is a genuinely flexible, well-paid part-time position offering clinical freedom, strong support, and the chance to work within an independent environment that values its vets. Ideal for someone looking to step away from full-time hours without compromising on salary or case quality.
