Position Overview Goldman Sachs Engineers are innovators and problem-solvers, building solutions in Artificial Intelligence, risk management, big data, mobile and more. This team is dedicated to creating tools and platform services that enhance the developer experience for all GS engineers. The primary focus will be on building services and tools to help developers write better and more secure code by implementing best practices, automated code reviews, and security checks. These tools will leverage AI to provide real-time feedback and suggestions, ensuring that code quality and security standards are consistently met. Additionally, the role involves creating comprehensive documentation and training materials to support developers in adopting these tools effectively. Another key focus will be on building Agentic workflows to simplify the developer experience and help them become more productive by streamlining processes, reducing manual tasks, and providing intelligent recommendations based on historical data and best practices. The ideal candidate will focus on improving developer productivity through the use of AI-driven coding assistants and leveraging internal knowledge and development practices to enable smarter decision-making. Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain tools and platform services that enhance the developer experience.
- Implement AI-driven solutions to assist with coding and improve developer productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate internal knowledge and best practices into development tools.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing tools and platforms to ensure they meet the evolving needs of GS engineers.
- Be part of our continual drive to innovate and uplift our platforms to take advantage of new technologies (such as machine learning, cloud platforms)
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our tools and platforms remain cutting-edge.
- Champion AI tools and solutions through AI governance committees for approval, demonstrating compliance with security standards, model validation requirements, and regulatory guidelines to ensure safe release into production.
- Monitor and maintain compliance of deployed AI tools through regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and updates to meet evolving regulatory requirements and internal policy changes.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant industry experience
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or GoLang.
- Experience with AI and machine learning technologies, particularly in the context of coding assistants.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience of using and developing RESTful web Services
- Experience or interest in building mission critical and highly available systems
- Experience of end-to-end design and implementation of software products
- Team player, eager to work in a regional agile/scrum pod within a global organization.
- Analytical mindset, creativity, and commercial focus to deliver optimal solutions for the business.
