VIDEOGRAPHER & CONTENT CREATOR

We're on the lookout for a talented, culturally curious Videographer & Content Creator to join the Dishoom team. This is a role for a visual storyteller, someone who knows how to capture moments that feel real, thoughtful and full of life - primarily through the lens of a video camera, with photography as a genuine second string - and who takes real pride in seeing that work land and make an impact.

From the hum of our cafés and kitchens to menu launches, collaborations and creative campaigns, you'll help bring Dishoom's stories to life through video, and photography where needed. You'll work closely with our Social Media, PR and Creative teams to create content that feels warm, crafted and unmistakably Dishoom, while helping us hit the goals behind it - whether that's a launch landing well, a campaign building buzz, or engagement on our channels growing.

This is a hands-on role for someone who's just as happy behind the camera as they are collaborating with

others, sharing ideas and shaping stories together.

The Role

This is a permanent role, working usual office hours - with occasional evening work, given we're in hospitality, and occasional shoots outside London at our cafés across the UK. You'll concept, shoot and edit video and photography content across Dishoom and Permit Room, creating pieces that work beautifully across social, campaigns and wider storytelling moments - and that are built with a clear eye on what they need to achieve.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Creating video and photography content for social media, campaigns and storytelling moments -from café life and food to launches, events and collaborations.
• Shooting and editing both short- and longer-form video for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and paid channels.
• Shooting and editing photography alongside video - from considered, campaign-ready stills to quick, ad-hoc shots when a moment calls for it. Video will be your primary craft, but you're just as ready to pick up a stills camera when the moment needs it.
• Working closely with the Social Media team to spot upcoming content opportunities and bring the content calendar to life.
• Collaborating with Creative, PR and Partnerships teams to translate ideas into engaging video and photographic stories.
• Maintaining Dishoom's visual identity across all video and photography - from composition and lighting to pacing, tone and colour.
• Managing post-production, including video editing, photo editing/retouching, basic sound capture and colour grading where needed.
• Keeping a close eye on trends, new formats and platform best practice to keep our content feeling fresh and relevant.
• Understanding what success looks like for each piece of content -reach, engagement, campaign impact - and using that to sharpen ideas and future work.
• Organising and archiving video and photo assets so they're easy to find and ready for future use.

About You

You're a natural storyteller with a strong visual eye and a feel for capturing moments as they really are, something you've been doing for years. You're tech-savvy and comfortable filming, shooting and editing, curious about culture and food, and excited by the idea of telling stories that connect with people. You bring genuine, demonstrable skill in both video and photography, with video as your primary strength. This isn't a video role with photography as an afterthought -we're looking for someone who can also shoot excellent stills, and we'd want to see a portfolio that reflects both, even if video is where you shine brightest.

You enjoy working collaboratively, are comfortable taking creative direction and bringing ideas to the table, and take pride in crafting content that feels thoughtful and well made. You also understand that great creative and strong results go hand in hand - you're motivated by seeing your work perform, not just by making something beautiful.
