WHAT’S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?
The Senior Industrial Designer – Packs & Accessories plays a critical role within the Product Creation team, driving the innovation, design excellence, and functional performance of our packs and accessories ranges. This role blends deep consumer understanding, advanced design capability, and strong technical knowledge to deliver products that are durable, intuitive, and purpose-built.
The mission is to lead the creative and technical development of packs and accessories collections—combining aesthetic vision with usability, material innovation, and commercial awareness to meet the needs of consumers who demand performance and reliability.
WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?
As our Senior Industrial Designer – Packs & Accessories you will be responsible for:
Leading the design and development of seasonal packs and accessories collections, delivering innovative, functional, and brand-right solutions.
Conducting trend, material, and competitive research to inform design direction and ensure products remain relevant and differentiated.
Creating high-quality design concepts, sketches, 3D models, and detailed specifications that communicate clear design intent.
Collaborating closely with Product Management, Materials, and Development teams to ensure feasibility, cost alignment, and technical accuracy.
Owning the design process from concept through final sample, ensuring excellent execution in construction, functionality, and user experience.
Guiding fit-for-purpose material and hardware selection, balancing innovation, durability, sustainability, and performance.
Leading design reviews, presenting concepts clearly and confidently to cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
Partnering with global sourcing teams and vendors to resolve technical challenges and ensure samples meet design, quality, and performance standards.
Contributing to and mentoring junior designers, supporting design best practices, documentation standards, and creative development across the category.
WHAT DO I BRING TO THE ROLE?
You just might be our next superstar if you have the following skills and experience:
You have a degree in relevant design fields: Fashion, Sport, Industrial and Graphic Design, or equivalent experience, with a focus on packs, bags, luggage and/or technical accessories and have a minimum of 5-7 years experience in a professional environment
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in functional design, 3D thinking, user experience, and product storytelling.
Proficiency in all Adobe CC; Clo3D/Rhino or similar; PLM systems.
Deep understanding of materials, textiles, hardware, construction methods, and manufacturing processes used in packs and softgoods.
Ability to balance creativity with practicality—designing products that are both innovative and commercially viable.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate technical challenges and deliver robust design solutions.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and global vendors throughout the development cycle.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating clear design rationale and influencing key stakeholders.
Are passionate about sustainability and have experience implementing environmentally responsible material strategies.
Proven people management and coaching/mentoring skills
Passion for product design, functional innovation, and delivering high-quality gear that enhances real-world user experiences.
