We're working with a highly regarded independent school in Kingston upon Thames that is looking to appoint a Reception Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis from August 2026 .
You'll be the first point of contact for parents, pupils, visitors, and prospective families, playing a key role in ensuring the school office runs efficiently while delivering an exceptional level of customer service.

The Role
This is a varied position combining reception, administration, attendance, and pastoral support.
Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming visitors and managing the main reception
Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally
Monitoring daily attendance and following up absences
Providing administrative support across the school
Acting as Primary First Aider between 7:30am–8:15am
Maintaining accurate records and supporting the smooth running of the school office
Contract & Hours
Location: Kingston upon Thames
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Start Date: August 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Working Pattern: 37 weeks per year (185 working days), including term time, INSET days, and two weeks during the school holidays.
Salary & Benefits
£30,000–£32,000 FTE (£27,507–£29,340 actual salary)

About You
You'll be an organised, approachable, and professional administrator who enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy environment.
Previous experience working within a school office, reception, or busy administrative role is highly desirable, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence.
