Payroll Officer
We're looking for a dedicated Payroll Officer to join our client's HR team. In this role, you'll work closely with another Payroll Officer to manage the full payroll process for approximately 650 employees. You'll handle fortnightly payroll processing using specialist payroll software and a time & attendance system, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position also involves completing all related payroll administration to keep the payroll operations running smoothly. Responsibilities will include:
- Processing new starter packs
Processing all required payroll administration - Processing worked hours using a time & attendance system
- Processing leaver forms
- Resolving general HR and Payroll queries from employees & management
- Managing the staff portal
- Processing DBS requests
- HR administration includes managing holidays, responding to reference requests, management of right to work expiries.
- Managing sickness absence, including processing return to work forms and medical certificate expiries
- Strong Payroll processing experience
- Hardworking, productive, works well under pressure, reliable, supportive
- Attention to detail & accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work using your own initiative, and run the payroll on your own in times of absence
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word & Outlook
The role is office based in Purley, near Croydon, no remote working - Monday - Friday - 9am - 5pm. Free parking on site. Salary Up to £35,000 per annum Holiday entitlement - 25 days plus 8 bank holidays Employee assistance programme What you need to do now
