Are you a highly experienced Senior Systems Integration Test Analyst with a proven track record in end-to-end technical systems validation? At Ten10, we’re a leading consultancy in Quality Engineering, Software Testing, and DevOps, and we’re looking for someone like you to join us on an interim basis for a challenging and impactful project.

The Role: Specialist in Back-End Systems Integration

You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client’s integrated back-end systems meet the highest standards of quality. This role is highly focused on the technical depth of systems integration and requires a proactive, inquisitive approach to testing in a dynamic environment.

We need a candidate who is naturally inquisitive, is comfortable asking detailed questions to seek clarity, and can thrive in a changing, unstructured environment where priorities and direction can shift regularly. While we value a willingness to learn, you must possess a solid foundation of experience to hit the ground running.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• End-to-End SIT Focus: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts, specifically for Systems Integration Testing (SIT), with a dedicated focus on validating the end-to-end functionality of back-end and technical integrations across multiple complex systems.

• Database and Technical Validation: Rigorously test databases, performing hands-on validation using SQL queries to verify data integrity, data flow, and transaction accuracy across integrated systems.

• Azure DevOps & Technical Tooling: Utilise Azure DevOps extensively for test management, tracking defects, and collaborating on test scenarios.

• Technical Deep Dive: Focus testing efforts on validating the technical layers, including APIs, Middleware, microservices, and connectivity points between systems.

• Adaptability & Problem Solving: Proactively identify ambiguities in requirements, ask clarifying questions, and adapt testing approach quickly to changing project scope and unstructured direction.

• Reporting: Produce clear and concise test reports and exit summaries that accurately communicate the technical validation outcomes, integration risks, and key insights.

• Collaboration: Liaise closely with technical development teams and other stakeholders to deep-dive into system issues and verify complex integration points.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking an experienced, technically strong Senior Test Analyst who is proactive, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Proven, substantial experience (10+ years) as a Test Analyst, with a significant emphasis on end-to-end Systems Integration Testing (SIT) for complex enterprise-grade systems.

• Essential: Strong hands-on experience in back-end / technical testing and validating data and functionality between integrated systems.

• Must have: Expert-level ability to write and execute SQL queries for database testing, data validation, and ensuring system integrity.

• Solid practical experience using Azure DevOps for all aspects of the testing lifecycle (test case management, defect tracking, reporting).

• Demonstrable experience working effectively in dynamic, unstructured, and rapidly changing environments.

• A proven track record of being inquisitive, challenging assumptions, and actively asking questions to gain clarity on technical system behaviour.

• Strong technical understanding of APIs, Middleware, microservices, and database technologies (SQL).

• Prior experience working within Waterfall methodologies is preferred for this role.
