We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly competent, and experienced Science Technician to join the dedicated Science faculty at a well-regarded secondary academy in the Hillingdon area of West London.
This is a full-time, permanent position starting in January 2026 .

- Support the delivery of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 (KS3-KS5).
- Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 available
The Opportunity
The successful applicant will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, smooth, and safe running of the Science laboratories. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing practical experiments, maintaining equipment, managing stock, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations (CLEAPSS). We are looking for an individual with proven experience who can support teachers in delivering high-quality, inspiring practical lessons.
To attract an exceptional candidate to this vital support role, we are offering a generous Recruitment and Retention (R&R) Allowance of £2,000 per annum . This financial incentive recognizes the specialist skills and importance of this position.

We Are Looking For:
- Proven experience working as a Science Technician in a school or similar laboratory environment.
- Knowledge and competence in preparing and setting up practical experiments for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics up to A-Level.
- A strong understanding of and commitment to CLEAPSS and COSHH regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage stock efficiently.
- A proactive, flexible, and supportive approach to working with teaching staff and students.
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive Salary: The salary will be paid on the appropriate Support Staff Pay Scale (reflecting experience and qualifications).
- The salary will include the statutory Outer London Weighting .
