Regional Commercial Lead - Water
We currently have an exciting opening for a Regional Commercial Lead - Major Projects to join our UK Water Business. This is an opportunity to play an important role in our business as we continue to expand our Major Projects portfolio across the UK. The role can be based in any of our UK offices.
This is a great time to join Stantec. We have grown our UK Water Major Projects business substantially over the past number of years, positioning for considerable future opportunities and we look to continue to meet our ambitious growth plans. We have a collaborative and people orientated culture where your ideas and input will ensure we continue to meet our commercial objectives. As Regional Commercial Lead - Major Projects, you will be responsible for ensuring that we have a healthy, profitable and sustainable Major Projects business, whilst ensuring we effectively manage and balance business risk and growth. You will oversee the commercial elements of bids and significant standalone Major Projects, developing competitive commercial proposals with partner organisations, whilst meeting business objectives and providing opportunity for outperformance. You will work with the Regional Directors, Major Projects Market Area Lead, other Regional Commercial Leads and the Senior Leadership Team to develop, implement and improve strong and controlled commercial strategies to enable sustainable business growth within our Major Projects portfolio. You will build and maintain strong working relationships with Client and Partner Commercial Leads and use these links to review performance, identify opportunities for improvement and be a key escalation route for resolution of Major Project issues. You will clearly demonstrate visible, engaged Health & Safety leadership through active focus on performance and participation in leading indicator activity to protect the wellbeing of Stantec employees, clients, partners and the public. You will provide commercial leadership to the leadership group, ensuring that the team is inspired and motived to deliver best practice in commercial & risk performance management, challenge conventional thinking and create a collaborative culture within the group. Ideally qualified with a relevant degree, you will be an experienced Commercial Lead with solid understanding of how to work with professional services teams in a non-hierarchical organisation to deliver improvements and change. Experience in a similar consultancy environment, with relevant Design & Build experience in the regulated water sector would be highly regarded, with exemplary experience in NEC4 contract management practices successfully delivered through various commercial and alliance delivery models. You will have strong commercial acumen, strong business analysis skills and the ability to interpret and understand complex financial systems and reports. You will have the ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners. You will have a high degree of self-management, initiative, reliability and flexibility to ensure that the best possible service is given to internal and external clients. The Stantec community unites more than 34,000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents. We have been working with our clients and communities in the UK for over 150 years. We plan, design, deliver and manage the development and infrastructure needed to support the creation of sustainable, healthy and prosperous communities. Our teams provide effective and relevant solutions, translating our clients' vision into valued consents, deliverable plans for projects and programmes, and efficient designs for delivery, based on technical excellence and deep market insights. We deal with today's challenges, but also keep a fairer, better tomorrow in sight, looking at how we deliver clean growth, support radical changes in our economy and meet the needs of future communities.Recommended Jobs
