Job Title: Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners

Hours: Full-time - Monday to Friday
Salary: £38,000-£40,000 (depending on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners to join our clients dedicated theatre team within a private hospital setting, delivering high-quality elective orthopaedic surgery. This role offers the opportunity to work in a calm, well-resourced environment focused on excellent patient outcomes and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrub for a range of elective orthopaedic procedures
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field in line with hospital policies and best practice
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to support efficient, high-quality procedures
- Ensure correct preparation, handling, and care of orthopaedic instruments and equipment
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with governance and safety standards
- Work collaboratively with consultants, anaesthetists, and the wider theatre team
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months’ experience as an Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioner
- Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC)
- Proven experience with orthopaedic instruments and elective procedures
- Strong knowledge of infection control and theatre best practice
- Professional, patient-focused approach with excellent communication skills
- Must have right to work in UK, as unfortunately the hospital cannot currently offer sponsorship.
Desirable
- Experience in a private hospital
- Familiarity with enhanced recovery pathways
