Quant Capital is urgently looking for an Application Support Engineer to join our high profile client.

Our client is a leading software provider to the front office wealth and asset management market with customers across the globe. Their product is completely tech driven and they have been at the pinnacle of investment bank solution and asset management for over a decade.

The product has a web element as well as a backend server based high availability platform so work is mixed both ways.

Working as part of a friendly and knowledgeable Support team, the Application Support Engineer will be working on 3rd level Support issues raised by the Incident Management team.

On a day to day basis the Support Engineer will:

• Respond to technical product incidents raised by customers.
• From the case management system, record the issue description collecting log files for troubleshooting.
• Agree a Priority level with the customer based on the incident description and SLA’s.
• Provide a resolution to the incident based on product knowledge by searching the technical knowledge base, or triaging / escalating with senior technical resources.
• Investigate new or existing incidents by replicating the issue in house and discussing with peers.
• Ensure customer incidents receive appropriate response and activity.

The Application Support Engineer must have:

• 1 years commercial experience upwards
• SQL
• Ideally Windows Server
• Ideally Scripting (Bash, shell, Powershell, Perl)

This is an ideal role for a graduate or junior support engineer who is looking for serious financial services experience. The client has a range of interesting and diverse customers which will allow you to experience a host of financial services roles.

The team is varied in experience with a mature yet casual feel.
