Head Veterinary Nurse - NW London
GLG Vets are pleased to partner with a well-established veterinary practice in Northwest London to recruit an experienced and dedicated Head Veterinary Nurse. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a supportive and friendly team in a practice committed to providing high-quality care to pets and their owners.
Location: Northwest London
Salary: Up to £36,000 per year
Hours: Flexible – either a 4-day or 5-day week available with 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am – 5pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the nursing team to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
- Support veterinarians in all aspects of animal care and surgery.
- Assist with training and development of junior staff and student nurses.
- Monitor patient recovery and assist in post-operative care.
- Oversee the management of clinical supplies and stock.
- Build strong relationships with clients, providing them with excellent customer service and support.
Key Requirements:
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with relevant qualifications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
