About the Role: You’ll join Savanta’s Brands Team as a skilled qualitative consultant, working across retail, FMCG, and financial services sectors. You’ll tackle diverse client challenges - from market and audience analysis to in-store shopper and customer experience, as well as innovation projects. Although the role is predominantly qualitative you will have the opportunity to work on mixed methods projects as well. As a Consultant , you will play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality research projects, taking end-to-end ownership of smaller projects (with minimal senior input), applying robust methodologies, and translating findings into actionable insights for our clients allowing them to make better decisions. No two days are the same, ideal for those seeking challenge and growth. Day to day you’ll: Lead multiple (typically 3-5) projects at various stages, managing timelines, recruitment and overall quality. Liaise directly with clients and respond to requests. Design and draft all core research materials (screeners, discussion guides, reports). Plan and conduct qualitative fieldwork (interviews, shop-alongs, intercepts, ethnography, online communities, focus-groups), both online and in person . Manage fieldwork across multiple markets involving various qualitative and quantitative methodologies at once (E.g. for in-person shopper - exit surveys, in store intercepts, qualitative shop-alongs). Travel within the UK and internationally for fieldwork. Synthesise qualitative data (specifically thematic analysis) into compelling, client-ready narratives. Draft reports, recommendations and deliver results presentations. Mentor and support team members, fostering best practice and continual learning. You’ll be part of an established, inclusive team with a flat management structure, robust career support, and early responsibility - including account management for long-term client relationships. About You: You are confident in using various qualitative methodologies within an agency setting , and comfortable leading smaller projects end to end. You have: A strong grasp and confidence in conducting core qualitative methodologies and open to embracing new ones (e.g. AI). The ability to design research materials and approaches tailored to diverse client needs. Comfortable with numeric data and open to mixed-method projects; able to bridge qualitative and quantitative insight. Excellent client relationship management skills; able to articulate and present insights clearly. The confidence to challenge established practices, introduce new ideas, and champion technology adoption. Natural curiosity and appetite for continuous learning and professional development. Strong organisational skills to manage concurrent demands and project timelines. Experience mentoring and developing junior colleagues.
