Time Out Market is a global food and cultural market leveraging the editorial curation of Time Out Media to bring the best of the city together under one roof: its best chefs, restaurants, bars, and cultural experiences.

The Head of Marketing for Time Out Markets will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies across all of our owned and managed markets. This will involve overseeing all marketing activities, including branding, digital marketing, content creation, public relations, and event management. The role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the hospitality market.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping the group’s brand architecture, driving consumer engagement, and empowering our partners and future partners to deliver exceptional, on-brand local marketing execution.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic yet hands-on marketing leader to build world-class brand equity and fuel growth for a multi-unit global food & beverage business. The role encompasses both broad brand-level campaigns and local marketing support for individual franchise and management agreement markets.

This head of marketing role should be looking to shape and elevate the brand presence of our markets globally, driving awareness, engagement, and revenue growth.

Reporting into the CEO Markets, the Head of Marketing will have a team of five direct reports. This is a role for a dynamic marketing leader with a passion for storytelling, innovation, and brand-building in the F&B and hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primarily responsible for establishing, maintaining, training our local marketing teams, and reviewing Time Out Markets Marketing, Brand and PR guidelines.

  • Primarily responsible for supporting our Global Partners and their Marketing and PR teams to deliver revenue generation through high class marketing campaigns that drive footfall.

  • Develop scalable franchise marketing frameworks , toolkits, and playbooks to enable regional and local execution while safeguarding global brand standards.

  • Partner with regional franchise teams to optimise marketing programs that drive traffic, sales, and customer retention .

  • Oversee group marketing initiatives , local market adaptation, and the rollout of new launches.

  • Collaborate with the real estate development team to generate new business leads and support new market entries through targeted brand marketing.

  • Responsible for supporting the successful opening of all new Time Out Markets globally through 360 marketing strategies.

  • Oversee brand development, campaign strategy, and creative direction for multiple F&B concepts under the group portfolio.

  • Drive consumer insight-led innovation to strengthen relevance and loyalty across diverse global audiences

  • Coordinating the use of central Digital, Design and Content creation resources to support our markets and Market Partners globally

  • Develop and support the overarching marketing strategy across all TOM markets ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand positioning.

  • Support our Partners and own team of marketing managers to deliver high-impact campaigns and initiatives.

  • Oversee brand campaigns and marketing activations, ensuring all marketing assets, campaigns, and messaging are consistent and reflect our venues

  • Manage multi-channel marketing efforts, events, influencer partnerships, and paid advertising to drive customer engagement and revenue.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, across the markets including events and sales teams, marketing teams and market operations teams to ensure alignment in marketing efforts with business goals and enhance guest experiences.

  • Lead data-driven decision-making, utilising analytics to track performance, measure ROI, and optimise marketing strategies.

  • Manage global and regional marketing budgets, ensuring efficient investment and measurable ROI.

  • Champion a data-driven culture, leveraging insights and analytics to refine campaigns and maximise effectiveness.

  • Identify emerging digital trends, platforms, and partnerships to strengthen the group’s competitive edge.

  • Spearhead new market launches and brand expansion efforts, ensuring successful market entry and positioning.

  • Develop and manage relationships with external agencies, influencers, and press, maximising media coverage and brand exposure.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior brand marketing role, within a global or multi-market F&B, QSR, or hospitality brand.

  • Experience in new site development and openings is preferential

  • International experience is preferential

  • An understanding of how Marketing, Branding and PR functions work together to create a strong brand narrative.

  • Confident, driven, a strategic and dynamic leader, can be hands-on whenever needed

  • Excellent analytical and project management skills, with a can-do attitude and an eye for detail.

  • Entrepreneurial mind-set with the ability to spot new creative marketing opportunities

  • A true team player and collaborator, with strong key stakeholder management ability

  • Ability to travel internationally to support future openings

  • Strong strategic mindset, with a track record of executing high-impact marketing campaigns.

  • Expertise in digital marketing, social media, PR, and brand storytelling, with a deep understanding of the hospitality market is preferential

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a high-performing marketing team.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and driving ROI.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence senior leadership.
