An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join our Outstanding Primary School in Kensington . Our school is renowned for its high academic standards, nurturing ethos, and commitment to developing confident, curious, and independent learners.

The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher , you will play a key role in shaping pupils’ early primary experiences, delivering a rich and engaging curriculum, and supporting each child to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to drive development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support children’s learning and well-being.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through assemblies, events, and enrichment activities.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
  • Has experience teaching Key Stage 1 , preferably Year 1.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Is committed to fostering pupils’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team.
