Head of Procurement
43073
A leading financial services group is seeking an accomplished Senior Procurement Manager to shape and lead strategic procurement activity across key spend categories, delivering tangible commercial value and supporting the firm’s broader transformation agenda.
This is a high-impact, visible role within a regulated and fast-evolving environment — ideal for a commercially astute leader who can combine strategic influence with operational excellence.
The Role
Reporting directly to the head of a newly created Operations team, you’ll own and drive complex, high-value sourcing strategies across technology, professional services, and corporate categories. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, ensuring that procurement delivers innovation, resilience, and sustainable value aligned to the business’ commercial and risk objectives.
You’ll also play a key role in maturing the firm’s procurement governance framework, mentoring category leads, and representing procurement at senior forums.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans across high-value, complex categories.
- Partner with senior stakeholders (up to C-suite) to drive procurement strategy and influence decision-making.
- Lead major contract negotiations and manage strategic supplier relationships.
- Deliver measurable commercial, operational, and risk management outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement policy, governance, and sustainability.
About You:
- Significant procurement leadership experience within financial services, fintech, or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering cost and value benefits at enterprise scale.
- Deep understanding of cross category management, supplier governance, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels.
The Opportunity:
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a forward-looking organisation where procurement is recognised as a strategic enabler of business success. You’ll operate in a dynamic, agile environment with the autonomy to shape policy, influence strategy, and deliver lasting commercial impact.
