We have operations in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the US and Canada, with a global headquarters in London.

We’re the leading owner and operator of battery storage in the UK, supporting the National Grid with the uptake of renewable power. We also work with c.90% of the UK's major bus companies, powering 25% of the UK e-bus market. We’re also the number one owner and operator of e-buses in Australia and New Zealand, and are quickly expanding into light commercial vehicles and trucks. Our rapidly growing company is looking for highly talented and motivated people to join us.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As an Asset Operations Manager, you will take ownership of day ‑ to ‑ day operational asset management activities across assigned assets. You will act as the primary operational point of contact, ensuring assets are operated safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual, financial and regulatory expectations.

This role sits at the heart of operations, performance, and supplier interaction.

· Validate contractor performance data against SCADA/data platforms to identify underperformance, trends, degradation issues, or contractual breaches

· Lead root cause analysis for major incidents or recurring issues

· Support lifecycle planning, including major component replacements and upgrades

· Oversee the coordination of safety activities with HV contractors, TSOs and DNOs, ensuring that cross-boundary safety interfaces and switching requirements are managed by qualified specialists in accordance with rules.

· Lead the coordination of safety activities with system operators / distribution network operators, specifically managing cross-boundary safety interfaces and switching requirements.

· Own the site access and security protocols, ensuring that only competent, authorised personnel enter operational areas and that security systems are maintained to protect asset integrity.

· Drive the technical investigation of any safety incidents or near-misses, ensuring root causes are identified and preventive actions are implemented and lessons learned shared across the wider fleet.

Financial, Commercial & Contractual Management

· Manage and enforce contracts including O&M agreements, warranties, and service contracts

· Translate technical outages into risk and commercial impact, supporting the Contracts team in quantifying Liquidated Damages (LDs) and warranty claims.

· Own the OPEX budget for assigned assets, including raising/receipting POs and validating variable invoices against actual site interventions and maintenance plans

· Review supplier invoices against contracts, budgets, and payment plans

· Interface with offtakers, grid operators, and other key stakeholders

Reporting and Stakeholder Management

· Prepare regular technical and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders

· Support the continuous improvement and automation of performance dashboards to move away from manual reporting

· Serve as the 'Internal Customer', providing technical 'stage-gate' review during the handover from Construction to Operations to ensure assets meet long-term operational standards
