Commercial Property Paralegal
This is an opportunity to join a genuinely busy property practice where you will work closely with experienced fee earners and play an important role in keeping matters moving from instruction through to completion and beyond.
You don't need to be a qualified solicitor for this role. The firm is open to candidates with a law degree as well as those who have built solid hands-on experience within a commercial property environment.
What you'll be doing
You will provide practical support across a varied commercial property caseload, taking ownership of your own responsibilities while working closely with the wider team. This will include:
- Supporting fee earners throughout the lifecycle of commercial property transactions
- Assisting with new client onboarding, AML and due diligence checks
- Preparing, drafting and amending correspondence and documentation
- Liaising directly with clients, solicitors, agents and other third parties
- Managing emails, telephone enquiries and day-to-day client queries
- Maintaining accurate electronic files and updating document management systems
- Assisting with client ledgers and matters relating to the Solicitors' Accounts Rules
- Supporting post-completion work and ensuring files are closed correctly
- Providing reliable administrative support to keep transactions progressing efficiently
We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware and comfortable working at pace . You should have previous experience in a legal or commercial property environment and be confident dealing with both clients and fee earners.
A law degree would be advantageous, although strong practical experience will also be considered.
You'll ideally bring:
- Experience within commercial property, real estate or a similar legal environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good IT and document management skills
- Confidence working with figures and client ledgers
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities
- A professional and approachable manner when dealing with clients and third parties
