Head of MFL / Modern Foreign Languages Job Description
Lead MFL across the school – KS3 to KS5
Develop and manage the progress of a wide MFL curriculum
Boost the ability of staff – support growth and training
Lead on enrichment elements of the MFL curriculum – exchange programmes, schools trips, etc
Plan and deliver exciting lessons – share practice with partner MFL teachers
Report to the SLT
Contribute to the plans of the wider school
Lead on strategies to boost attainment
Monitor pupil progress and evaluate progress plans

Head of MFL / Modern Foreign Languages Person Specification
Must have QTS – Qualified Teacher Status Must be an experienced teacher or leader of MFL Ability to lead on the academic and enrichment elements of an MFL curriculum Must have high standards and expectations Understand the demands of the new curriculum
