EYFS Teacher - Rainham
We are seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Rainham, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to creating a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children.
The successful candidate will work within the Early Years Foundation Stage, delivering high-quality provision that supports children’s development across all areas of learning. The school has a strong emphasis on inclusion, pupil wellbeing, and partnership with families, and is looking for a teacher who understands the importance of early development and learning through play.
You will be joining a supportive Early Years team that values collaboration, shared planning, and reflective practice. Senior leadership is approachable and committed to providing staff with the support and professional development needed to thrive.
The Role
As an EYFS Teacher, you will plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s development in line with the EYFS framework. You will create a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment where children feel confident to explore and learn. Observation and assessment will be central to your practice, allowing you to plan effective next steps for each child.
You will work closely with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues to ensure consistency and high-quality provision. Strong communication with parents and carers will also be essential, helping to support children’s learning beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality EYFS provision
Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment
Observe, assess, and record children’s progress accurately
Use assessment to inform planning and next steps
Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development
Promote positive behaviour, independence, and communication skills
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and EYFS colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in EYFS
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
Have excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
Be reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement
Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
