Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Walthamstow – East London
Full Time – 5 days a week

Do you have experience working with young people in positions of responsibility, such as sports coaching, youth work, or mentoring?
Do you have the emotional resilience, patience, and empathy to make a real difference in an SEN environment?
KPI Education are looking for a Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to start in September 2025. As a Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the SENCO and classroom teacher to provide individualized support and guidance to the student. This is an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills in 1:1 SEN support while making a genuine difference to pupils’ educational journeys.
Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a student with SEN ensuring physical, emotional and education need are met.
- Implement and adapt learning activates to suit the student individuals needs and learning style.
- Monitor and record students progress reporting to the SENCO and classroom teacher as required.
- Use appropriate behavior management strategies to support the student’s positive behavior
- Assist with classroom management and contribute to a positive learning environment
Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – The Role
- Minimum 2:1 degree in in Psychology or related subject preferred
- Experience working with students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD and/or learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents/ carers.
- Previous experience with SEN or in youth-focused roles is desirable but not essential
- Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
