Maternity Nurse, Job ID J1F423
This lovely family based in London, is seeking an experienced Maternity Nurse on a fixed-term contract to support them following the arrival of their first baby. The role is designed to help the parents transition smoothly into parenthood, offering expert newborn and postnatal support. The ideal candidate will be calm, nurturing, highly knowledgeable, and confident in all aspects of newborn care. Dad will be returning to work early and working from home, so discretion and professionalism are essential. The family also has a very friendly Maine Coon cat, so comfort around pets is important. A valid first-aid qualification is a must.
Working hours:
First month: 24/7 care with a 4-hour daily break
Second and third month: Either 24/5–24/7 live-in support or 12-hour shifts (a mix of days and nights), 6 days per week
Duties include:
- Supporting mum with postnatal recovery and postpartum care.
- Ensuring the baby’s safety, wellbeing, and comfort at all times.
- Feeding, burping, settling, and soothing the baby throughout the day and night.
- Establishing healthy sleep routines and allowing parents to get adequate rest.
- Sterilising bottles, pump parts, and dummies.
- Managing all baby-related laundry.
- Keeping the nappy caddy stocked and ready for use.
- Tidying baby areas and toys as needed.
This lovely family is looking to hire from 25 February 2026 until April 2026.
