Assistant Right to Buy Officer
Assistant Right to Buy Officer needed in Ilford Paying £16.60 per hr ref 1717
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining procedures for processing Right to Buy applications in line with the Housing Act 1985 (as amended).
- Support Right to Buy Leasehold Officers with registration, verification, and compliance checks of applications for manager authorisation.
- Carry out administrative duties for Cash Incentive Schemes, Staircasing, Rent to Mortgage, and other home ownership initiatives.
- Act as the first point of contact for enquiries, offering advice in person, by phone, or in writing on Right to Buy matters.
- Collect and maintain accurate financial and performance data for reporting purposes.
- Conduct occasional home visits to verify customer information and property eligibility.
- Assist in verifying application details to ensure accurate conveyancing instructions are issued within statutory timescales.
- Liaise with external agencies such as Housing Associations and Local Authorities to confirm applicant eligibility.
- Provide support to the Legal team and customers regarding resale, deed transfers, and discount repayment queries in the absence of senior officers.
- Contribute to fraud prevention efforts by supplying relevant information to the Investigation Team.
- Offer general administrative support to the Sales and Leasing team as needed.
