Personio's intelligent HR platform helps small and medium-sized organizations unlock the power of people by making complicated, time-consuming tasks simple and efficient. Our growing team of 1,800+ Personios across Europe and the US are building user-friendly products that delight our 15,000+ customers and their 1.5 million employees. Ready to make an impact from day one?

At Personio, we are on an inspiring and ambitious mission to build the People Operating System - the single source of truth for employee information - that enables small & mid-sized businesses to be strategic about their people, the biggest asset and success factor for any organization.

We are building the environment and the culture for you to do the best work of your career. You'll be surrounded by fellow craftspeople and you'll be asked to apply your skills to raise the bar for how Personio – and the industry at large – builds products.

The Role

As a Staff Product Designer (Mobile) , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Personio’s mobile experience. You’ll take ownership of our mobile platform (iOS and Android), partner with product and engineering leaders across domains, and define how Personio shows up on mobile. You’ll balance setting a long-term vision for mobile with making tangible progress towards it, ensuring that we deliver valuable, coherent, and delightful experiences for our customers that drive adoption and business impact where mobile makes the biggest impact.

With exceptional design skills, experience in high-fidelity and AI prototyping, and a track record of improving tools and frameworks, you’ll influence both the craft of design and the strategic direction of our mobile product.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning Personio’s mobile touchpoints, providing product direction through goal-setting and planning.

  • Leading within the design team and among cross-functional peers.

  • Tackling systems-level problems with numerous interconnected constraints.

  • Launching well-executed mobile experiences that balance immediate value with long-term scalability.

  • Ensuring consistency and quality across mobile touchpoints by connecting related projects and aligning stakeholders quickly.

  • Solving Product Design problems that few others can.

How you'll go about it:

  • Influencing and strengthening team culture while identifying areas for development.

  • Representing your work and ideas with clarity and confidence to executives and peers.

  • Effectively communicating the team's product goals, framing discussions to elicit the right feedback and drive alignment.

  • Being actively involved in interviewing and building out the larger design team.

  • Actively mentor and support other designers, raising the quality of design across the team, especially also around mobile-first thinking.

  • Being empathetic to team members' feelings and putting in effort for the team's benefit.

  • Helping to foster a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture while fostering a healthy design process.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional in one dimension of design, e.g., Product thinking, Interaction Design, Execution, Craft, Programs - ideally deep expertise in mobile product design

  • Skilled in using high-fidelity and AI prototyping tools.

  • Experience developing and improving tools, frameworks, or existing systems.

  • Designed new patterns or introduced standards adopted by others in previous roles.

  • Track record of proactively identifying and driving initiatives that strengthen the team.

  • Strong ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution.
