About the Role
The school is seeking a patient, enthusiastic, and creative Reception Teacher for maternity cover . You will plan and deliver EYFS lessons, support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development , and work closely with colleagues to maintain consistency and high-quality learning experiences .
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate EYFS lessons
- Observe, assess, and record pupil progress
- Support children’s social and emotional wellbeing
- Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment
- Engage parents in pupils’ learning and development
- Contribute to enrichment activities and school events
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a teacher who is nurturing, creative, and adaptable , with a strong understanding of early years pedagogy. You should be able to engage children through play-based and structured activities , while fostering a love of learning from the start of their educational journey.
Requirements:
- EYFS or early years teaching qualification, or QTS
- Experience teaching Reception or EYFS
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Legal right to work in the UK
