Year 5 Teacher - Inclusive School in Tower Hamlets

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Class Teacher to join our inclusive and high-achieving primary school in Tower Hamlets, East London, from January 2026. This is a permanent position, open to full-time and part-time applicants, with the potential for a TLR for subject or phase leadership for the right candidate.

The Role
Position: Year 6 Class Teacher
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered
TLR: Available for Subject or Phase Leadership (for the right candidate)
As our Year 6 Teacher , you will:
- Lead a motivated class of Year 6 pupils through their final year of primary school, preparing them for SATs and secondary transition
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that promote challenge, curiosity, and achievement
- Use assessment effectively to identify next steps, close learning gaps, and celebrate progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment rooted in respect, resilience, and responsibility
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure every child flourishes
- (If applicable) Take on additional responsibilities through a TLR role in subject or phase leadership
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applications from teachers who:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Possess a strong understanding of the Year 6 curriculum, SATs preparation, and transition to secondary school
- Are reflective practitioners with excellent communication and organisational skills
- Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to inclusion
- Thrive in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment
- Are open to taking on subject or phase leadership responsibilities (if seeking a TLR)
