This isn’t a “keep the lights on” controller role. It’s a chance to build, influence, and transform. You’ll partner directly with our Group CFO, lead a high‑performing global team, and bring clarity, discipline, and insight to a business that thrives on pace, creativity, and innovation.
What you'll be doing:
1. Own the Numbers
• Lead the Group’s financial control environment with confidence and precision.
• Deliver accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes across all global entities.
• Oversee consolidations, intercompany accounting, multi‑currency reporting, and FX.
• Apply IFRS and local GAAP in a practical, commercial way.
• Produce high‑quality financial decks that drive board conversations and strategic decisions.
2. Cash Flow Forecasting & Management
• Take full ownership of Group cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning.
• Build robust rolling forecasts that reflect seasonality, billing cycles, and growth initiatives.
• Drive working capital excellence—collections, creditor terms, intercompany flows, and repatriation.
• Partner with AP and payment teams to ensure accuracy and control.
• Support treasury activities, banking relationships, and covenant monitoring.
• Provide clear, actionable cash insights to senior leadership.
3. Lead, Develop & Influence
• Build and mentor a world‑class global financial control team.
• Partner with the CFO, FP&A, commercial teams, and regional MDs to drive growth and margin improvement.
• Be a credible, influential finance leader at the senior table—challenging and supporting in equal measure.
4. Drive Change & Improvement
• Evolve our finance systems, tools, and processes as we scale.
• Champion standardisation, automation, and efficiency—without slowing the business down.
• Play a key role in shaping our finance tech stack, including a new ERP implementation.
5. Support Growth & Value Creation
• Translate financial performance into insight, action, and opportunity.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning.
• Contribute to pricing, profitability, new product launches, and investment decisions.
• Support shareholder and board‑level reporting.
Who we're looking for:
• Entrepreneurial and proactive, you build structure where none exists.
• Hands‑on and detail‑driven, yet able to think big‑picture.
• Resilient, adaptable, and energised by change.
• A pragmatic problem‑solver who brings solutions, not obstacles.
• A collaborative leader who thrives in a global, multicultural environment.
Essential
• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Strong IFRS and UK GAAP expertise.
• Significant experience in a senior Financial Controller or Group role within a multi‑entity, international business.
• Deep technical accounting and consolidation capability.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, service‑led environment.
• Proven leadership across global teams.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance control with growth.
Desirable
• Experience in a private equity–backed business.
• Background in marketing, promotions, media, agency, or professional services.
• Exposure to complex revenue models and client‑driven commercial structures.
• Track record in finance transformation or systems implementation.
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central.
Being a people-led business, we hire upon values and believe that our people are what make the beloved TLC culture so unique.
At TLC we aim to create a ‘world within the world’ that is free from prejudice, bias and inequity.
A world where diversity is valued and celebrated, and where we work hard to ensure all our wonderful people are given equal opportunity to succeed.
If you're excited by everything we've told you, then it's time to apply!
