About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to join the team on a part-time basis, working 3 days a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging Drama lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE). You will inspire students to develop their confidence, performance skills, and appreciation for the theatrical arts.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and inclusive Drama lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.
Prepare Key Stage 4 students thoroughly for their practical and written GCSE examinations.
Maintain a positive, energetic, and safe classroom environment that encourages student participation.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Collaborate with the wider Creative Arts team to contribute to extracurricular performances or school productions.
Requirements
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification is highly desirable. Experienced instructors or exceptional Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also welcome to apply.
Experience: A proven track record of teaching Drama at the secondary school level (KS3/KS4).
Skills: Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and a genuine passion for the performing arts.
Compliance: Must hold or be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
