An established and successful secondary school in Barnet is looking to appoint a passionate, driven, and committed Teacher of Science to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis (up to 0.6 FTE) starting this September 2026. The Role
Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4, alongside A-Level Chemistry modules
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the UK curriculum
Supporting students of all abilities to develop their scientific potential to the full
Contributing to laboratory safety protocols and practical investigations
Working closely with colleagues within the faculty to maintain teaching standards
Requirements
Applicants must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Science, with an in-depth knowledge of the UK Chemistry curriculum up to Key Stage 5
Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting up to GCSE level
Strong classroom management skills
The legal right to work in the UK
Salary & Hours
Salary: M1 – UPS3 (Outer London Pay Scale)
Hours: Part-time (Up to 0.6 FTE equivalent)
