Assistant Merchandiser
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an assistant merchandiser to join a desirable British brand on their womenswear team. The brand is renowned for their collections that reflect current trends and attract a variety of customers across all divisions, making it a one-stop shop for many shoppers. By having exceptional forecasting and analytical skills, the assistant merchandiser plays a crucial role in supporting the merchandisers to drive sales and optimise profitability. You will be responsible for managing product performance, analysing markdown, reviewing OTB, overseeing end-of monthly, quarterly and yearly lessons-learnt and presenting back to the team. You will collaborate cross-functionally with buying, marketing and supply chain teams to ensure product launches are met. The ideal candidate will be highly confident using the WSSI, OTB and forecasting their own product categories. You will have an analytical mindset and approach problem-solving tasks with confidence, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Liaising with the buying team you will also have product knowledge to ensure you can manage product assortments and range planning based on market trends. You will already have one to four years’ experience as an assistant merchandiser. In return, the company offers a salary ranging from £35,500 - £37,500, a generous 40% employee discount, pension scheme, life assurance, option to buy more annual leave and enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave. For your development, there is a bi-annual career review programme designed for each individual. This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to work from the office four days a week and one from home.
