Insurance Consultant (Marine)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Insurance Consultant to join a well-established specialist insurance team providing advisory, broking and claims support to financial institutions involved in shipping and offshore finance.
Working with a global client base, you will provide expert insurance advice to lenders and their legal advisers, reviewing marine insurance programmes and delivering clear, technical guidance on insurance adequacy. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected team within a specialist area of the marine insurance market.
Key Responsibilities- Review owners' insurance programmes and prepare detailed insurance reports assessing the adequacy of cover.
- Provide technical insurance advice to financial institutions and their legal advisers.
- Work within a specialist team supporting a portfolio of high-profile finance clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering a high standard of service and technical expertise.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and mandatory training.
- Support financial reporting processes, including monthly income forecasting where required.
- Strong technical knowledge of marine insurance.
- Previous experience providing insurance advice or consulting services within the marine insurance market.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of workload with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- A proactive approach with a focus on delivering exceptional client service.
- Professional communication skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate issues and provide practical solutions.
