DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work with patients of all ages to enhance their ability to perform daily activities and improve their quality of life. As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess clients’ needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic techniques tailored to each individual. Your expertise will help patients regain independence following illness, injury, or disability, guiding them through exercises, activities, and the use of specialized equipment. You will also educate patients and their families about the recovery process, offering support and motivation throughout their journey. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Your contribution will be crucial in helping clients achieve their goals, whether they want to return to work, manage home responsibilities, or participate in recreational activities. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of clients’ physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients’ goals and objectives.
Provide therapeutic interventions including exercises, task training, and the use of assistive devices.
Motivate and encourage patients throughout their therapeutic journey to ensure adherence to their treatment plans.
Document patient progress and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with professional standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, physical therapists, and social workers, to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families on best practices for home and community integration.
Requirements
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
Strong knowledge of treatment techniques and modalities relevant to occupational therapy practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
Ability to assess and document client progress accurately and effectively.
Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a varied caseload.
Commitment to continuing education and professional development in the field of occupational therapy. Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £31.00
