Join our small, high performing, high impacting team of 6, delivering high-level performance insights to the Director General and senior leaders across HMRC's Chief People Officer (CPO) group. You'll help shape decisions - using your analytical skills, curiosity, and people-first mindset to drive real improvements.

Job description

This role will offer an outstanding view of the whole PPG Business Group and how it operates internally, as well as the role it plays in supporting wider organisation objectives.

We offer you the opportunity to:

Support the design, development, and implementation of the One-Hub vision using Power Applications.

Support delivery of the monthly Hub and Metric cycle, as we provide insight and analysis of metrics and hubs for senior leaders.

Effectively communicate with customers, data providers and stakeholders to build strong working relationships.

Lead Continuous Improvement of Metrics and Hubs.

Deputise and support facilitation of Deputy Director and Director Hubs.

Person specification

In this critical operational delivery role, you will:

Support the team in implementing new ways of working, using advancements in digital approaches, Power Applications and O365, towards our One Hub vision.

Make large and/or complex data more accessible, understandable, and usable, depending on the business requirement. You will need to be able to easily communicate complex ideas.

Project manage Hub and Metric improvements, scoping project with customer, agreeing timelines, milestones, and resourcing, tracking through to completion.

Supply a range of senior leaders with monthly dashboard metrics; used by senior leaders to make sound evidence-based decisions and drive informed action.

Interpret Key Performance Indicators translating them into simple, easy to understand, customer-made professional visuals in conjunction with business owners.

Essential Criteria
  • Strong Office 365 skills - confident using Office 365 tools to support day-to-day delivery, specifically Excel, SharePoint, Planner and Copilot.
  • Insight-driven - the ability to interpret data effectively and leverage insights to create compelling visual narratives that communicate the intended messages.
  • Stakeholder engagement - proven ability to build strong relationships and influence conversations, including with senior leadership teams.
  • Agility - the ability to demonstrate you're responsive to change and can rapidly learn to apply new tools and technologies effectively to meet the team and business needs.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience building/publishing reports using Power Applications.

Benefits

Sift

Interview

During the panel interview, you will be assessed on Behaviour, Experience and Strength based questions.

Hybrid working at HMRC

HMRC is an office-based organisation, and colleagues are expected to spend 60% of their working time in the office. Our offices provide opportunity for interaction, collaboration which aids learning and development and a sense of community.
