Bar & Restaurant Duty Manager
Are you a passionate hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment? We're looking for an experienced Bar & Restaurant Duty Manager to join the hotels team at Chessington World of Adventures Resort , helping deliver outstanding food and beverage experiences for our guests.
This is a hands-on, customer facing role where you'll lead by example, support your management team, and take ownership of front-of-house and bar operations across breakfast, lunch, and dinner services.
A day in the life of a Bar & Restaurant Duty Manager...
As a Duty Manager, you'll support the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager in the smooth day-to-day running of our bar and restaurant operations. You'll motivate and develop a large team, drive sales performance, and ensure consistently high standards of service, safety, and cleanliness.
You'll also play a key role in:
- Leading and inspiring the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Supporting with recruitment and training
- Managing labour stock control, and sales targets
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, health and safety, and cleanliness
- Handling guest feedback, concerns, and complaints professionally
- Driving KPI performance, customer satisfaction scores, and Tripadvisor ratings
- Ensuring all procedures, checklists, and processes are followed correctly
- Supporting investigations and disciplinary processes when required
You'll be set up for success if you have:
- Experience in a leadership role within a busy bar and restaurant environment
- Strong people skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others
- Confidence in decision-making and leading services independently
- A solid understanding of food safety and allergy management
- Passion for hospitality, food, and drink
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Office
