Job Title: Production Baker Reports to: Head Baker & Apprenticeship Training Lead Based in: Luminary Bakery Cafe N16 8RY Hackney Downs Studios, E8 2BT Shifts available: Part Time - Monday to Friday (TBC working days) Available Shift Pattern 07:30 - 15:30 Salary: £13.00 per hour + (based on experience) Job Purpose: Supporting the Luminary bakery team where needed, whether it’s a large corporate order of Letterbox Brownies; fulfilling consumer orders from the e-commerce store; or icing and decorating Celebration Cakes for special occasions (i.e. weddings). KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ACROSS THE TEAM: Assisting the Baking leads & rest of the bakery team in meeting production deadlines Ensuring that every product that leaves the bakery is to the highest quality and standard Maintaining food hygiene and safety standards as per company policy REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY: Have minimum one to two year of experience in a professional bakery Ability to bake high quality products that are uniform and consistent Motivated and hard-working, able to work in a fast-paced environment Organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines Collaborative and hardworking Ability to handle and lift items weighing between 0-50 pounds Proof of eligibility to work in the UK DESIRABLE: Willingness to work varied hours or days based on business needs PERKS AND INCENTIVES: 50% discount off food and drink at Luminary Bakery Cafe 20% discount on all Luminary Bakery online purchases FREE Birthday cake!
