Role: School Caretaker / Site Assistant Location: Ealing, West London Hours: Late Shift (Mon–Fri, 3:00pm/4:00pm – 9:00pm/10:00pm) + Saturday Mornings Contract: Temporary to Permanent Salary: Competitive Daily/Hourly Rate (DOE)
Are you a proactive and reliable individual with a "can-do" attitude? A vibrant and well-regarded school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join their premises team immediately.
This is a vital role ensuring the school site remains safe, secure, and ready for learning every single day.
The Role
Unlike a standard morning shift, this position is perfect for someone who prefers a later start. You will be responsible for the evening transition of the school, including:
Site Security: Conducting the final lock-up of all school buildings, gates, and windows.
Maintenance: Carrying out reactive repairs, painting, and general DIY tasks.
Compliance: Performing essential Health & Safety checks (Fire, Water, and Lighting).
Lettings Support: Assisting external groups using the school facilities during evening and Saturday morning sessions.
Requirements
Proven Experience: Previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or a trade (plumbing, carpentry, etc.) is highly desirable.
Reliability: As a key-holder, punctuality and a strong sense of responsibility are non-negotiable.
Communication: Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with the School Business Manager.
DBS: An enhanced DBS check is required (we can assist with this process).
