Role Overview

As a Cash Management Sales Specialist, you will be a client-facing sales professional responsible for originating, influencing and winning treasury mandates across Bank of America's Global Payments Solutions (GPS) franchise.

Working in partnership with GPS Sales, Corporate Banking and client decision makers, you will leverage deep expertise across a spectrum of payments, receivables as well as integration /connectivity and treasury transformation to drive revenue growth, increase market share and position Bank of America as a strategic treasury partner.

You will serve as both a trusted advisor and commercial sales specialist, helping clients transform treasury operations while delivering measurable business outcomes and expanding the bank's payments and receivables franchise.

The role requires a mandate-first mindset, combining treasury expertise, solution selling and executive engagement to win new business, deepen existing relationships and accelerate revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Originate, Influence and Win Treasury Mandates

  • Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth through the successful sale of cash management, payments and receivables solutions.

  • Partner with GPS Sales teams to develop and execute client strategies focused on mandate conversion, wallet expansion and competitive takeaways.

  • Identify, shape and progress strategic opportunities to successful mandate.

  • Engage treasury, finance and technology stakeholders to position Bank of America as the preferred treasury partner.

  • Build client rapport and act as a trusted advisor across complex treasury opportunities spanning transformation, working capital optimisation and payments modernisation initiatives.

  • Contribute directly to sales performance, pipeline growth and revenue outcomes.

Lead Strategic Deal Solutioning and Competitive Opportunities

  • Lead treasury solution design and commercial positioning for large, complex and strategic opportunities for new and existing clients.

  • Own the cash management content and strategy for Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and competitive tenders.

  • Partner with Sales teams to develop compelling value propositions that differentiate Bank of America from competitors.

  • Support and deliver client presentations, workshops and executive discussions that advance opportunities and improve win rates.

  • Identify opportunities to increase wallet share and broaden solution adoption throughout the sales cycle.

Strategic dialogue with Commercial Purpose

  • Provide expert consultation on payments, receivables, reporting and client connectivity solutions.

  • Advise clients on ERP, TMS, API, host-to-host and SWIFT integration strategies that enable treasury transformation and accelerate adoption.

  • Translate client business challenges into commercially viable solutions that drive tangible value for clients and revenue opportunities for the bank.

  • Support strategic discussions around treasury operating models, digital transformation and technology enablement.

Market Leadership and Client Engagement

  • Serve as a recognised advisor on treasury best practices, payment innovation, real-time payments, digital transformation and emerging industry trends.

  • Deliver thought leadership and market insights that strengthen client engagement and create new sales opportunities.

  • Represent Bank of America at client events, industry forums and strategic engagements.

  • Drive client education and awareness of new capabilities, positioning solutions, sharing market developments and value-added treasury solutions.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of competitor capabilities, market dynamics and FinTech developments to strengthen sales positioning.

Commercialisation, position for and create demand to drive growth

  • Influence product strategy by bringing market intelligence, client feedback and competitive insights into product development discussions.

  • Identify commercial opportunities arising from new capabilities, regulatory developments and industry trends.

  • Champion the adoption of strategic solutions that increase client penetration, revenue generation and franchise growth.

  • Act as a market advocate for treasury innovation and commercialisation opportunities.
