SEN Teacher
SEN Teacher - Brent - ASAP Start Monday to Friday - 9:30am to 2:30pm We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to lead a small class of 7-9 children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The students are primarily non-verbal and require a highly supportive and nurturing learning environment. Key Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher: Deliver engaging, individualised lessons that support the holistic development of each child. Continuous planning throughout the year to adapt to the children's progress and needs (no formal marking required). Implement effective strategies to encourage communication, independence, and personal growth. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and the wider SEN team to ensure the best outcomes for students. Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. The Ideal Candidate for this SEN Teacher role: A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience in SEN/ASD settings. Skilled in supporting non-verbal learners, with knowledge of communication aids and strategies (PECS, Makaton, AAC beneficial). Patient, creative, and resilient, with a genuine passion for helping children thrive. Strong organisational skills to plan and adapt lessons continuously.
