Marketing Intern
Here at Third Space Learning, our mission is to ensure every student can access high-quality online tutoring to help them succeed in, and love, their learning. For too long, tutoring has been available only to a fortunate few, and we’re working to change that by partnering with schools to provide one-to-one AI maths tutoring through Skye, our spoken AI tutor.
Drawing on over a decade of tutoring expertise, Skye has been built and trained by former teachers and maths experts to deliver personalised, curriculum-aligned tutoring at scale. Already supporting tens of thousands of lessons each week across hundreds of schools, we’re one of the first movers in the AI tutoring space; with a clear ambition to transform outcomes for millions of disadvantaged students in the UK, US and beyond.
The opportunity
We’re looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Marketing Intern to support our Marketing team with content creation and campaign delivery across multiple channels.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll help us create new and repurpose existing content into engaging formats (especially video and social content), support webinar marketing, keep our website and channels consistent and up to date, and work on valuable teacher resources like lead magnets.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their marketing career who wants to build real experience across content, social, video, and campaign delivery in a fast-moving EdTech company.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the marketing team to create and repurpose content across key channels, including YouTube, webinars, email and social media.
- Create and edit short-form marketing assets (video clips, carousels, images and supporting visuals) to help content perform across platforms.
- Support the delivery of our YouTube and webinar content, including uploading, formatting, creating thumbnails, maintaining content logs, and updating webinar landing pages and decks.
- Create and update branded marketing assets in Figma, including visuals for email campaigns and other marketing channels.
- Help maintain and update downloadable teacher resources and lead magnets, ensuring they are accurate, well-designed and ready to publish.
- Support general marketing coordination, including website management, content scheduling, campaign support, research, and basic performance reporting.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Energy, creativity and adaptability, with a motivation to learn and thrive in a fast-moving scale-up environment.
- Clear passion for our mission and an eagerness to make your mark
- Experience creating video content, for example through university projects, personal projects, or previous internships (e.g. editing or repurposing content for social or digital channels).
- Excellent time management and organisation
- Keen to explore ways that we can use AI to support our work
- A genuine interest in marketing, content, and digital communications.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to write clearly and confidently.
- Great attention to detail and strong organisational skills (you’ll be juggling multiple tasks and content formats).
- A proactive, can-do attitude - you take ownership and enjoy getting things finished to a high standard.
- Confidence using tools like Canva/Figma/Google Docs/Slides, or willingness to learn quickly.
- A creative mindset and interest in learning how to make content perform across different channels.
- A valid visa to live and work in the UK.
If you meet at least some of these criteria and think you are a good fit for the role then please apply. The above criteria act as a guide as to the sort of experience that would set someone up for success in this role, but we’d love to hear from you if you think you have what it takes, even if you don’t tick every box.
Just as we feel AI has the power to deliver effective and engaging tutoring, we believe AI can support candidates to prepare for this role. While we are happy for you to use AI to support your application and any subsequent interviews, please be prepared to share and discuss your process with us.
We are looking to get someone in place as soon as possible. We expect the initial contract duration to be 6 months, with the view to a permanent role.
Benefits
- Competitive internship salary - £29,000 pro rata for a 6-month fixed-term contract.
- London-based hybrid working model – you’ll be expected to work from our London office 4 days per week to begin with, with flexibility to move to 3 days per week over time.
- Training provided - this consists of an initial training period followed by ongoing professional development throughout the internship
- Hands-on experience across content marketing, video, webinars, and social media.
- Supportive team environment with mentoring and opportunities to learn quickly.
- Work with a fun, curious, and ambitious team, passionate about having a social impact on the world.
- A role with real responsibility and development opportunities in a fast-growing edtech business as we develop our AI tutoring model.
- Potential opportunity for a permanent role
How to apply
As part of your application, please share one example of a video you’ve edited (this could be from university work, a personal project, or previous experience), along with a short note explaining your role in creating it. Add this information to the cover letter section of the application form.
We’re not looking for perfection, we’re interested in how you think about video, storytelling and editing.
