Role – Principal Landscape Architect

Location – Remote

Salary - £DOE

Lead Careers are working with a multidisciplinary consultancy in Liverpool who is seeking a skilled a Principal Landscape Architect with expertise in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) to join their growing team on a 100% remote working basis. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from large-scale infrastructure developments to smaller environmental schemes, contributing to the delivery of sustainable, high-quality landscape designs that balance development needs with environmental and visual sensitivity.

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT RESPONSIBILITES

* Lead and contribute to the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)

* Develop detailed landscape designs and proposals

* Conduct site surveys, landscape character assessments, and visual impact analysis to inform design decisions and LVIA reporting

* Produce high-quality technical reports, visualisations, and supporting documents for planning applications and consultations

* Advise clients and project teams on the landscape and visual implications of developments, providing expert guidance on mitigation strategies

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, ecologists, and engineers

* Client liaison

* Assist in business development activities

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT KEY SKILLS ANS QUALIFICATIONS

* A degree in Landscape Architecture

* Extensive experience in delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)

* Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), or working towards chartership

* Proven experience in managing and preparing LVIAs across various sectors

* Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS, as well as experience with visualisation tools such as SketchUp or Revit

* Excellent report-writing skills

* Strong project management skills

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

* A comprehensive understanding of UK planning processes and environmental legislation

* A full UK driving licence
